Up and Running!

Welcome to New College Nottingham’s Students Union Blog. Every 2 weeks we’ll be here blogging away to keep you up to date about what we’re up to!

We’ll be sharing what our plans are for future events, campaigns and other things that you can get involved in across the college.

Just to bring you up to speed, here’s what we have been up to: So far this year we have had a busy start – since the Learner Parliament in November we have been mega busy looking into all the issues raised and doing our best to help resolve them! To see the progress that has been made take a look at our new page on the portal, which feeds back on issues raised http://www.ncn.ac.uk/studentportal/content/LVB/YouSaid.aspx

Talking about issues raised, we’ve also been popping into a few Learner Voice Boards across the college, where there has been some great feedback and discussions going on! Kat our Learner Voice Exec is going to be working with ncn staff to get all information from these meetings put up on our ‘you said…’ section of the portal – watch this space!

Last Week we were at the ‘Your future, What’s Next’ conference, where we had a stall as well as running our own session on the benefits of volunteering. Lots of students came to chat with us about the up and coming elections and some of you even volunteered to get involved with the SU next year! If you want to get involved to please drop us an email at studentsunion@ncn.ac.uk

Over the past few weeks we’ve also been at the college AGM, open evenings and meet and greets across different campuses as well as working closely with the college to provide lots of extra things for our student body.

If you have any ideas and suggestions about what we should be tackling next please email us at studentsunion@ncn.ac.uk

Thanks,
